Kelly and Matt met on the dance floor at Southern Provisions, a popular bar in Baltimore’s Canton neighborhood, after a mutual friend’s engagement party in 2022. They didn't see each other again until their wedding a few months later, not so surprisingly, on the dance floor. At the wedding's casino after-party, Kelly placed every one of Matt’s bets; unfortunately, he lost them all. While he left the casino without cash, he managed to walk away with something far more valuable: Kelly's number.

Fast-forward months and Matt joined Kelly and Finn on their planned hiking getaway in Watkins Glen, NY. It was during this trip that Matt made their relationship official. Since then, they have created countless beautiful memories together, including their first trip across the pond to Italy and the day they brought home their fur baby, Louie, this past July.

One particularly unforgettable weekend was spent in Ocean City, MD, as a family of three—Matt, Kelly, and Louie. On November 1, after a lovely dinner with a sunset view over the bay, they went for a walk on the beach under the stars. That is when Matt got down on one knee and asked Kelly to marry him, with only Louie as their witness. Kelly said yes, and a celebration ensued with immediate family.
